Statement

The process of my work explores the complex interconnectivity of humanity and nature, drawing upon the historical context of photography by way of cyanotypes and photograms as well as modern influences such as Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter. Projects focus on climate change and environmental degradation, made visible through the lens of both traditional and non-traditional printing methods.

Building on my deep-rooted and personal affirmations, I continually seek to evolve my practice by exploring and utilizing sustainable materials in new and profound ways, especially minimizing waste, which can be a hazard intrinsic to the art of photograph making.

My palm sized pieces evoke the dichotomies of humanity and nature; beauty and darkness, eternity and transience within a warming world.
